End Time Babylon
9/21/2023

This study has to do with current events about end time Babylon spoken of in the word of YHWH. Let's see some prophecy concerning end time Babylon.

Jeremiah 51:14 YHWH of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, "Surely I will fill thee with men, as with locusts; and they shall lift up a shout against thee." To what could this be referring?

In the prophecy concerning Babylon found in Revelation 17, it speaks of the ten horns on the head of the beast:

Revelation 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, "The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues."

The ten horns have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the beast.

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Whoever the 10 horns are, they shall hate the whore (Babylon the Great). The reason for this is explained in the following verse:

Revelation 17:17 For YHWH hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of YHWH shall be fulfilled.

The 10 horns will make war with the Lamb:

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Ruler of rulers and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Babylon is being judged:

Isaiah 13:19 - And Babylon, the splendor of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, shall be as when Elohim overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Like Sodom and Gomorrah!

Revelation 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, "Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! For in one hour is she made desolate."

Jeremiah 51:46-47 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler. 47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

"And her whole land shall be confounded." The definition of the word confounded - "Perplexed by many conflicting situations or statements; filled with bewilderment." Could current events suggest such a condition? Yahushua said:

"Now learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch becomes tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near; so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near -- at the doors." (Matthew 24:32-33)

Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51 prophesy of the destruction of Babylon. Could it be that YHWH is using current events to awaken his people to realize that the time is near?

Isaiah 47:1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
Isaiah 47:2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
Isaiah 47:3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
